FIVE IMM SUBSIDIARIES RECEIVE INTERNATIONAL SAFETY AWARD
The British Safety Council (BSC), one of the world’s leading organizations in occupational health, safety, and well-being management, has announced the winners of the 2025 International Safety Awards. Five subsidiaries of Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality (IMM)—BELBİM AŞ, KÜLTÜR AŞ, İSPARK AŞ, İSBAK AŞ, and İSTTELKOM AŞ—have been recognized with prestigious BSC awards.
IMM’S COMMITMENT TO A “ZERO-ACCIDENT ISTANBUL”
The BSC International Safety Awards are among the most prestigious global honors in occupational health, safety, and well-being management. With the vision of a “Zero-Accident Istanbul”, IMM subsidiaries were awarded for their commitment to ensuring and improving workplace health, safety, and well-being processes. Among thousands of global applicants—including over 350 companies from Turkey—IMM’s subsidiaries stood out for their outstanding efforts in these areas.
According to the award jury’s evaluations:
- BELBİM AŞ and KÜLTÜR AŞ received the highest-level “Distinction” category awards.
- İSPARK AŞ and İSBAK AŞ were awarded in the “Merit” category.
- İSTTELKOM AŞ was recognized in the “Pass” category.
Over the last three years, 13 different IMM subsidiaries have won 16 BSC International Safety Awards, including one Global Health & Safety Sector Award and eight top-tier distinctions. This achievement has reinforced IMM’s leadership in occupational health and safety among local governments in Turkey.
TECHNOLOGY-DRIVEN SAFETY MANAGEMENT

Beyond traditional safety measures, the jury recognized the subsidiaries’ AI-based occupational safety culture surveys as a strong initiative. Additionally, the “Being Well Together” project—focused on prioritizing employees’ well-being—was highlighted as a distinctive and innovative approach.
